Use your own domain

1. Open Website and find Your own domain. An owner enters the domain, like yourbusiness.com, and saves.
2. Where you bought the domain, add the two DNS records shown: an A record for @ and a CNAME for www.
3. Publish your site if it isn't yet. The domain starts working once the records are found, usually within an hour. The secure padlock is set up for you.

Both the bare domain and the www version work; one redirects to the other. Search engines are told your domain is the site's main address.
